Todd was a good and loyal friend. He treated me like a friend he'd known forever even though it had only been months. When I went trhough my own trials he came to support me, taking time off from work and his family to see me through. He was unjudgmental, caring, fair, concerned, dedicated and loyal. He was a strong man in many ways, but not so much to hesitate giving me a hug when I needed one (or didn't need one!). He teased me about being a Packer fan, but had no problem with me teasing him back for being a Bears fan. He was one of the few Bears fans I actually liked! His teasing was never derogatory or mean, always in the best of fun. He had that way about him. He even helped me get tickets for the famed "Bears v. Packers" game when they met in Champaign, IL. He took the loss gracefully and with honor. We'd just shared those memories sitting in the pew at church last Sunday during his dad's sermon. What a terrible loss for this world and his lovely family. He was so proud of his wife and daughters. A great husband, father and friend. I'll miss him dearly. God speed, Todd. I'm sure heaven's a more fun place now that you are there. See you soon. Your friend always, J. R.
Oh where to start...... Todd has been my friend for many of years. He was the brat at church when we were kids lol or was it I that was the brat? Todd was like a brother that I never had and always helped me when I needed strength, understanding, love, and just a good laugh. We are both the babies of our families and the things we got away with because of that. Later in life Miranda came along and God blessed me with another great friend. We have spent so many good times together and the wonderful thing is there were never any bad times that were ever spent together. I know Todd is in a much better place than we all are. I have even experienced seeing Todd in a dream and guess who he was with...My dad. I sit and think about that now and wonder what all they are doing together. I know they are comforting us through this time and probably doing some mushroom hunting together and rejoicing that they have met once again. Todd will always be in our hearts and we will meet him again. My prayer is for Miranda , Kassi , Tiffany and Alexis for comfort guidance and peace love and joy. My prayer for Richard and Donna, Kim and Scott and Doug is for comfort, and peace and love and the knowing that Todd is with our God, our Jesus, our Redeemer our everything and is well and Alive !! I pray you will all have the expeiences that my family has had since we lost dad that will be uplifting and reassuring to you as it has been for us to know that Heaven is so near and they are all watching over us. Love you all so very much! Love you Todd!
With much love,
Bobbi Jo
My special memory of Todd is when it was my turn to preach, Todd would say to me, while looking at his watch, "Oh good, Barb's preaching today, we'll be out of here in no time!!" and we would have a good laugh and always a strong hug! Another thing that is special was our birthdays are one day apart. I also enjoyed that unique special sound in his voice. He's one of a kind! Special Bessings to you Miranda, Kassi, Tiffany, Alexis, Richard & Donna, Diana, Doug, Kim and all the family! I appreciate the relationship we have all had through the years! You've all been Jerry's and my special friends and family. May God help you find peace! Love, Barbara Hedenberg
